Welcome! Thanks for dropping by! I'm lucky enough to be able to indulge in two passions these days; For the last decade or so I've been interested in photography. Nothing wildly fanciful or creative - just straightforward snapshots, with maybe a little post-production thrown in later.  Aided and abetted by my then wife, I've also dabbled in the gloriously cheesy world of wedding photography and portraiture, operated a colour darkroom in the back garden and generally had a ball!  These days the computer has ousted the wet stuff, but the joy remains the same.... Second obsession; in 2000 I had my teenage interest in aeromodelling rekindled by the discovery of viable electric powered models. Fuelled by rechargeable battery cells, these models have their own challenges in the power/weight ratio area - those cells can be heavy!  After building the designs of others for several years,I've recently taken the plunge and started to design my own scale models, which has added a whole new dimension to this ridiculous pastime! These days I'm priveleged to be designing on a semi-regular basis for Radio Control Models & Electronics magazine (RCM+E) - a globally available magazine. Tim Hooper  December 2011
